Why do stoke clap on the 14th minute

BBC Midlands Today. People in the West Midlands are being urged to take up their flu vaccinations because of fears of a serious outbreak this winter which would stretch the NHS. There are concerns that due to lockdowns for much of last winter, people haven't been exposed to the virus for 18 months, so will have limited immunity.

Health experts are worried there will be a rise in those needing hospital treatment. Football fan Jamie Arnold is fined for the abuse and gestures mocking disability at a game in May. After he became the latest star to be knocked out of Strictly Come Dancing, Adam Peaty's mother said she is "really proud" of how he has done. She hopes Eastenders star Rose Ayling-Ellis makes it to the final stage. Luke Jerram's 7m diameter 23ft globe, which aims to get people to think about their place on the planet and protecting it, can be seen at Keele Chapel until 27 November.

Steph Wright of ArtsKeele, said they were "super-excited" to work with arts organisation Appetite and bring the Gaia sculpture to campus. People can drop in to see the free display, although capacity is limited, or book a weekend slot.

Michael O'Neill: Stoke City in stable place after manager's two years in charge. Would the world be better if it was run by teenagers? More on this. Armistice Day at the National Memorial Arboretum. Most Recent Posted at Read more next.

Posted at Posted at 11 Nov 11 Nov. When Yaya Toure struck from inside the penalty area on 74 minutes, after some superb work from David Silva and Mario Balotelli, he broke what sometimes had seemed to be the longest curse in football history. By then there was no doubt that City would complete the task. Mancini is infuriating at times, his commitment to caution unparalleled in the Premier League.

But on Saturday, starting with Carlos Tevez — a captain whose last significant act at the club could well be lifting the FA Cup — Silva and Balotelli showed an altogether different side to the man. When he had received an elbow to the throat on 15 minutes from Robert Huth that went unpunished, you feared the worst for the volatile young Italian.

Mancini winced when reminded. I think it is now. Tevez and Silva played admirable supporting roles yet the Spaniard must have been filled with acute embarrassment on 36 minutes. Eight yards out with Sorensen stranded, Silva drove the ball into the ground and saw it bounce over.

Early in the second half, Aleksandar Kolarov drove into the side-netting. Overwhelmed in midfield, it took 21 minutes to register a shot, from Jones, that was easily blocked. Any lingering anxiety amongst the red ranks were extinguished in the 65th minute when Robin Van Persie converted a penalty he won from being fouled by Andy Wilkinson. Stoke City fans hate United with a zeal that is hilarious. In the 14th minute of yesterdays match, they had a minutes applause for what I later found out was in memoriam for Kameron Bourne, a local fourteen year lad who had recently died in his sleep.

These are the kind of people who thrive on finding something to get upset and self righteous about. Singing a song mocking the Munich dead who never disrespected anybody cheapened whatever respect or decency was in the original gesture of the minutes applause. In the second half, there were three United fans sat amongst Stoke fans nearby to us who were pointed out to Police and security by the Stoke fans in their midst.

In the exec boxes in the West Stand, a legendary Old Trafford terrace figure was winding Stoke fans up to an apoplectic fever, trying to teach them the Michael Carrick song. Not through any sense of affection or compassion but because of the comedy value their club and supporters provide. The next time they play at Old Trafford, they should play the theme music to the Beverly Hillbillies. Many thanks to Chris from www. Like the new look. It was uncovered when I first went there with me Dad.

You could stand at the top and watch United Reserves one way, and look at the Glovers Cables team the other. Many changes since then. And quite a journey. Good Luck Murph.
