The latter runs hand in hand with this side quest. As both quests lead into Freya's Garden, it will be most efficient to work through them simultaneously.

But it can be easy to bypass the maximum rewards amidst In Wolf's Clothing's many possible paths, so keep reading until the end to ensure you're not getting swindled out of earning top coin. You'll want to start by paying a visit to the Temple of Freyja on the island of Hindarsfjall in Skellige to speak with the priestess, Josta. Talking with her, Geralt will learn that the werewolf within Freyja's Garden is afflicted with a complicated curse and is seemingly immortal.

The werewolf was once a villainous man named Morkvarg who raided seas and villages, killing innocents, children, and even pregnant women. It's believed he was cursed as a result of tainting holy ground with his vile ways by besmirching Freya's Garden and killing the priestess there. Josta will then point Geralt to Einar , the only surviving witness of the events, for more information. Though Einar's retelling seems shady, Geralt will learn when Morkvarg attempts to eat the meat turns to ash in the werewolf's mouth.

This only adds perpetual starvation to the werewolf's undying curse. Now's the time to start on the Nameless quest and head into the Garden. That's because the person Geralt and Yenn are searching for in that quest entered the garden to confront this Morkvarg.

The front of the garden is built similarly to a sort of keep with outer and inner walls. Geralt will need to navigate the overgrown thicket between the two walls until he comes to a locked door, but be wary of the wolf pack lurking in the overgrowth. There is another door with scratch marks all over it and a low wall to the left. This door is also locked, so Geralt should climb up the wall and find another way around.

Atop the wall, Geralt will find himself in an overgrown courtyard. Taking a left through a break in the hedges, Geralt will come across a larger building which he'll want to continue past for now and continue to drop down the low wall on the other side. Taking a second left through the wooden gate , Geralt will find himself in another shrouded area with smaller inaccessible shacks.

By continuing past these and dropping down yet another low wall, Geralt will come across a moat and wooden bridge. After crossing the bridge and climbing the stone ladder in the wall to the left, a cut-scene will trigger, drawing your attention to a double lever mechanism sitting on the edge of the mote. We divvied up the silver - I took the votives, Norulf son of Oddleik took the basins and spoons, Mons son of Gudvar took the candlesticks and jewelry, while Einar son of Toradar forfeited his share out of fear for Freya's wrath.

Fine, all the more for us. Tomorrow we'll sail to Spikeroog, see what the merchant wenches have brought to market. Ask Einar of Larvik why he lied to you about Morkvarg. Talk to Einar again and call him a liar.

By choosing the right dialogue options you will be able to convince him to tell you the truth about what happened in the garden and give you a fang you can use to lift the curse.

We don't need to fight. You can also kill Einar and take the Cursed fang from his corpse. But if you do this before he tells you about the curse, then you won't be able to lift it while talking to Morkvarg. Use the fang to lift Morkvarg's curse, or find another way to lift it. Go back to Morkvarg and beat him. This time, when you talk to him, there should be an option to lift the curse - [Hand him Toradar's fang. When you do that, Morkvarg will regain his human form and will want to go to sea again to burn and rob.

You will be able to attack and kill him immediately or ask for the treasure he promised you. Geralt tracked down one of Morkvarg's former companions who lived in Larvik. His jaw dropped to learn this man - and not, as was commonly thought, Freya's high priestess - had cast the curse on the infamous pirate. The man also possessed an object he claimed could lift the curse. Geralt took it from him, used it to return Morkvarg to human form - and then let him go free.

This might strike you as strange, dear reader, considering this former pirate's many sins and complete unwillingness to reform. Remember, however, that it is a witcher's job to kill monsters, not people, no matter how rotten they might be. Geralt took it from him, and used it to return Morkvarg to human form - thus rendering him mortal. Geralt then struck an expert blow to hasten the inevitable end this condition implied.

Clearly he felt that years of insatiable hunger were not punishment enough for this man's many sins. Note : In this case, Geralt won't attack Morkvarg, but you can do it on your own as he will be standing next to you. Open that door, turn left and climb up. You can't open the door with the scratches.

Continue on and you'll get to the Chapter House. Inside, there are two doors. Open the right door to get some loot, including a Longclaw diagram. Open the left door to get more loot and Morkvarg's Journal.

You'll find out that Morkvarg was not an awesome person and has not been telling you the truth. Fast-travel back to Larvik and confront Einar via the "Lied to me" option. Einar was one of Morkvarg's men. Tell Einar that you don't have to fight and tell him that you want to lift the curse that's what witchers do. Ask him to do it for the priestesses and you get the necklace from him.

Back to your wolf friend. Follow your marker to find Morkvarg in the garden. Remember, you've got the key, so you can open the door on the left not the main gate to get there faster. If the marker is off on the outside, that means Morkvarg is in the cave. Open the gate near the cave entrance north-east and find him. Fight the werewolf , say your "here we are agains," and pick the option to give him the Toradar's fang necklace.

You'll find that Morkvarg is unrepentant. Ask him for your reward to get him to tell you that you can get some coin from a pawnshop owner in Novigrad.

Quest over, he walks away You know what to do. Draw your sword or punch to start a fight.
